Sri Sri RamKrishna Ashram, Dakshineswar, Kolkata

Respected dignitaries, honorable guests, members of the **International Human Rights Commission and Council**, and my dear brothers and sisters,

Today, on **10th December 2025**, we gather to celebrate *International Human Rights Day*—a day that reminds us of the timeless values of dignity, equality, justice, and compassion for every human being.

It is my great privilege to inaugurate this meaningful occasion organized by the International Human Rights Commission and Council. Human rights are not merely written principles; they are the living soul of humanity. Every person, regardless of caste, creed, religion, gender, or nationality, deserves respect, freedom, and equal opportunity.

In a world facing conflict, discrimination, and inequality, our responsibility becomes even greater. Let us pledge today to stand against injustice, to raise our voices for the voiceless, and to protect the fundamental rights of all. True spirituality teaches us that service to humanity is service to God. When we protect human rights, we protect the divine presence within every individual.

May this day inspire us to work together with unity, courage, and compassion. Let us build a society where peace, harmony, and justice prevail.

Thank you.
Jai Hind.

Mr. Sibsankar Pal

Retd. District Judge, Bankura District, West Bengal

Good morning to all respected dignitaries, members of the International Human Rights Commission and Council, distinguished guests, and dear friends.

It is a great honor for me, Retd. District Judge Sibsankar Pal, to be present as the Chief Guest on this significant occasion of International Human Rights Day, observed every year on 10th December. This day reminds us of the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights by the United Nations in 1948, which laid the foundation for dignity, equality, and justice for all human beings.

Human rights are not merely legal provisions written in books; they are the basic rights that ensure every individual can live with respect, freedom, and security. As a former judge, I have witnessed how awareness and proper implementation of rights can transform lives and strengthen democracy.

I sincerely appreciate the efforts of the International Human Rights Commission and Council for organizing this meaningful program and for continuously working to protect the rights of the vulnerable and marginalized.

Let us pledge today to uphold justice, promote equality, and stand united against all forms of discrimination and injustice.

Thank you, and Jai Hind.

Ms. Aditi Karfa

Member of Law Administation Committee of Indian Parliament

Good morning to all respected dignitaries, members, and dear friends.

I am truly honored to be present here today as the Honorable Guest on the occasion of **International Human Rights Day**, observed every year on 10th December. I sincerely thank the International Human Rights Commission and Council for organizing this meaningful program and for giving me the opportunity to share a few words.

On this important day, we remember the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights by the United Nations in 1948, which laid the foundation for protecting the dignity, equality, and freedom of every human being.

Legal help is not a privilege—it is a fundamental right. Access to justice ensures that the voices of the weak, the marginalized, and the oppressed are heard. Without proper legal support, human rights remain only words on paper. It is our collective responsibility to make legal assistance accessible, affordable, and effective for all.

Today, let us renew our commitment to spreading awareness, providing legal aid, and standing firmly against injustice. Together, we can build a society where rights are respected, protected, and promoted for everyone.

Thank you.

Jai Hind.
